OUR MISSION
Unitarian Universalist Animal Ministry empowers individuals, chapters, and congregations to build justice and compassion for animals.
Unitarian Universalist Animal Ministry (UUAM) is a community of UUs and friends working to express our values of compassion and justice for all beings.
We support individuals and congregations in living out these values in meaningful ways, rooted in the interdependence value and covenant statement in the Unitarian Universalism Association’s Bylaws, Article II.
We do this work directly and through our support of more than 40 international chapters.
WHO WE ARE
Our Events
UUAM hosts various online events each year that help educate and inspire our community. These are free to attend and are recorded for on-demand viewing after the event. We also hold regular online activities, such as our monthly Pet Loss Support group and the annual Celebration and Blessing of the Animals.
We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every being.

Featured Quote:
“Animals, like us, are living souls. They are not things. They are not objects. Neither are they human. Yet they mourn. They love. They dance. They suffer. They know the peaks and chasms of being.”
~ Rev. Gary Kowalski, Unitarian Universalist Minister and Former UUAM President
